Medical Equipment Manufacturer

A global, publicly-traded medical equipment supplier was interested in learning more about its customers’ data and reporting needs so they could offer software solutions that best addressed those painpoints.

We spent 4 weeks interviewing a diverse set of customers around the country, observing patient onboarding and follow-ups, compliance and reimbursement processes, and other systems customers had developed to track data.

After synthesizing findings and ideating solutions, we are now prototyping software solutions to address needs uncovered in the research.

We mentored 15 healthcare system startups participating in Cedars Sinai / TechStars accelerator program. Throughout the 4-month program and beyond, we coached teams on implementing human-centered design principles in the production of their applications and web portals.

Exercises ranged from empathy-building activities like user interviews and observational studies, to brainstorming sessions and prototyping feedback testing.

Girl Scouts, USA was looking to bring Girl Scout cookie sales online without sacrificing the educational component of the selling experience to preserve their traditions and non-profit status.

We helped design a virtual retail environment to mimic the learnings and experiences of the in-person sale, while ensuring the girls’ online safety as the main priority.

The program launched in December 2014.
